Another Beautiful Day on the Water!

Another beautiful day on the water!   New to the race course were Jane Wells and Linda DeCoste aboard Radio Flyer with coach Tom Watkins.  In addition, this was Ginny Clay’s first race and she crewed aboard Venturi with Stephanie Chaufournier and coach Ned Crockett.

The squirrely winds led to much variety in the race results.  Radio Flyer got off to a terrific start and held on to win the 1st race.  Taking advantage of a port side bias, Venturi sailed a single tact to the windward mark taking 1st in the 2nd race.  Cricket , with Sarah Stanton, Kinnet Ehring and coach Stan Crockett, gained momentum to win the 3rd race.  Ty Affair, helmed by Danielle Kuper and crewed by Jane Parker took two 2nds and a 3rd.  Due to a broken halyard, Radio Flyer retired from the last race.

Thanks to terrific coaches Ned, Stan and Tom and our marvelous Race Committee/Mark Boat team of Pete Clay, Matt Stanton, Harry Wells and Lance Franke.

Ty Affair leads the series with 11 points followed by Venturi with 16 and Cricket with 21.
